This year's celebration of Independence marked the beginning of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and hence the celebrations began on 11th of August with Painting Competition , theme for the same being - Swatantrta Sangram(for classes I to V and IX to XII). On the 13th of August, a patriotic movie - Agneepankh was screened in the school for classes VIII to XII, rekindling the spirit of patriotism. With pride in hearts and glory of the historical event of completion of 75 years of Independence (15th of August) , St. Patrick's Junior College celebrated the occasion with zeal and fervour. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony and salute to the school parade by Our Principal Rev. Sr. Leena and the Chief Guest Mrs. M. Mehra along with the jury members- Mrs.P.Mathew and Mrs .J .Mukherjee. The prayer service was followed by the cultural programme, comprising dances and medley by the students of class XII. Our Principal Rev. Sr. Leena and Our Chief Guest Mrs. Mehra addressed the audience with their inspiring and motivating words. The Trophy for the Best March Past for today's event was awarded to BLUE HOUSE. The programme concluded with heightened emotions for the nation and zeal for the country.
