Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav 75th Independence Day
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of it's people, culture and achievements.
This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The official journey of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on 12th March 2021 which started a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end post a year on 15th August 2023.
Our school celebrated the Amrit Mahotsav in its own unique way.
11th August 2022- Painting Competition
A painting competition was held in the Junior as well as Senior Section. The theme for the competition was - Swatantrata Sangram. Our little artists showcased their talent of painting with their beautiful posters.
13th August 2022- Screening of the Movie
A patriotic movie named-Agnipankh(Hindi) was screened in the school multipurpose Hall, rekindling the spirit of nationalism.
15th August 2022- Celebration
The day was celebrated with fervour and zeal in the school. The national flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest Mrs. Mini Mehra and Our Principal Rev.Sr.Leena along with the jury members-Mrs.P.Mathew and Mrs.J.Mukherjee. The March Past was performed by the students and the school council which was followed by a prayer service, obtaining the blessings of the almighty. A cultural Programme which included the folk dance and dances on patriotic songs along with a medley performed by the School Band added zeal in the programme. The programme concluded with the Chief Guest's Speech and Speech by the Principal.
16th August 2022- Fancy Dress Competition and Celebration
A fancy dress competition was organised in the school for classes VI to VIII. The students dressed as the national heroes revived the struggle of our martyrs. The Junior section of St. Patrick’s Junior College celebrated the day of Independence, rekindling and promoting nationalism and patriotism in the hearts of the Audience. The children were beautifully dressed as the national freedom fighters who laid down their lives and performed the supreme sacrifice. Dramatic representation of the historical event like the Jallianwala Bagh were staged by the students. The atmosphere turned patriotic with the songs and dances performed by the students on patriotic songs.
